You’ve probably heard of ChatGPT, but in case you don’t know, it’s a chatbot, developed in 2022 by OpenAI, that uses a set of algorithms and has been trained based on massive use of text data and is capable of generating a human-like conversation.
Richard Bowman, director of This Is Insight, a data consultancy that helps accelerate brands and has also worked with major record labels, together with David Boyle, director of Audience Strategies and author of world-renowned reports on the electronic and hip-hop scene, teamed up to produce a book that provides tools to take advantage of the new chatbot.
The authors focus on some key aspects to consider from the music industry, such as audience and audience understanding, marketing planning, marketing asset building and legal support.
The book gives applied examples of how ChatGPT can be used in some key elements in an artistic career, such as planning a release, where it is shown that it can make a detailed plan to help you launch and promote your new music, focusing on attracting and creating new listeners, building an audience and maximizing exposure on platforms such as Beatport, Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube and more.
For many, the advent of ChatGPT may be seen as a threat in terms of advancing technology and replacing human functions, but tools like this can be extremely beneficial when used with knowledge.
South Plug has a 50% discount to download the e-book, which for now can only be found in its english version, but is already on its way to be translated. Find it here!
