Colombia is currently a great host for new beats and various avant-garde projects in the music scene. This becomes evident once you enter the underground circuit, home of the exciting work of Bullet Records, a Colombian/Portuguese techno label with an office in Bogotá. Born in 2008, the label was initially a collective, agency and event promotor which developed into a music platform in 2019.
Known for its deep, raw, and harsh sound, this label celebrates its first-anniversary launching music with streaks of Hardtechno and a compelling futuristic vision. It’s in these celebratory spirits that Bullet Records decided to release something special, developed by one of the masterminds behind the collective project. We are talking about RACH, the artist who in early August released “Into The Core,” an EP full of fast and progressive bpms, psychedelic digital synthesizers, and dark rhythms. Listen to it here:
Driving force and co-founder of Bullet Records, RACH is characterized for her fusion of raw, atmospheric, progressive, and industrial sounds. This, combined with her energetic personality, transports us to a dynamic and robust setting through her sets. They escape from the traditional DJ format, being executed with Ableton.
Following this dark aesthetic, and closing up a group of high-quality techno work, we went through the solo project of Portuguese producer and co-founder of Bullet Records Mario Rodrigues. He surprised the electronic scene at the beginning of the year with a compilation of four tracks called “N.W.O.” An industrial electronic proposal, which calls the attention because of its rhythmic progressions and sound elements that invite to trance. You can listen to it here:

It is encouraging to see how the electronic circuit takes form in Latin America. Colombia shows its musical richness consistently through projects such as the ones developed by Bullet Records.
