Kateryna Artman and Nicolas Estany are the brains behind “Heart Contact”, an electronic music project born from the union of a young Ukrainian lyric singer and a Chilean musician. They met in Warsaw, Poland, when Kateryna left her country due to the ongoing war, thus initiating a deep connection that resulted in a unique musical collaboration.
Heart Contact is influenced by musical genres such as New Wave, Indie, Electro, IDM, being defined as an alternative electronic music group. This fusion of styles creates a distinctive sound that evokes a variety of emotions in listeners.
Inspired by a wide range of artistic influences, Heart Contact’s music is enriched with elements of painting, film, photography and images of fantasy, surrealism and magical realism. Kateryna and Nicolas find inspiration in works by artists such as Jan Švankmajer, Andrei Tarkovsky, Eliseo Subiela, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Sergio Larráin, as well as surrealism and fantasy in painting. This diversity of influences contributes to the creation of a unique and evocative sound that transports listeners on an emotional and sensory journey.
In addition, Heart Contact intends to release a new single every two weeks, allowing them to stay in constant contact with their fans and explore new facets of their musical creativity.
Kateryna’s lyrical and emotive voice intertwines with Nicolas’ layers of production, creating a listening experience that transcends borders and language barriers. Nicolas’ background in the music industry, highlighted by his solo electronic project “Visonia”, brings a unique dimension to “Heart Contact”.
